Nordic Ware Tunnel of Fudge Bundt Cake Mix
The Nordic Ware Tunnel of Fudge Bundt Cake Mix is an award-winning, melt-in-your-mouth chocolate cake with a dark fudge center.
Tunnel of Fudge Cake
- 1 1/2 Cups butter, softened
- 5 Eggs
- 1 Sugar packet (included)
- 1 Bundt cake mix packet (included)
- Optional: 1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts, added to batter.
Baking Instructions
- 1. Pre-heat oven to 325º F. Grease and flour Bundt pan.
- 2. Beat contents of sugar packet with butter in a large bowl until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- 3. Stir in contents of Bundt cake mix packet by hand until well blended. Batter will be stiff. (Stir in nuts, if desired.) Spoon batter into prepared pan; spread evenly.
- 4. Bake for 60 to 65 minutes. Since this cake has a soft tunnel of fudge; ordinary doneness test can not be use. Do not over-bake or tunnel of fudge will disappear.
- 5. Cool cake in pan for 1 hour before inverting onto serving plate. apply chocolate glaze if desired.
- Makes 12 servings.
Chocolate Glaze
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- 1/2 Cup powdered sugar
- 1. Combine chocolate chips, butter and milk, in small sauce pan. Cook over low heat until chocolate melts, stirring constantly.
- 2. Remove from heat; stir in powdered sugar until smooth. If needed, add a few more drops of milk for desired consistency. Spoon over cooled cake.
